Paver patios and pool decks are set on a sand base with sand or polymeric sand in the joints. That sand is structural — it's what locks the pavers together and stops them shifting.
Blast it out with a wand and you get a clean patio that starts moving underfoot the following season. Cleaning pavers means managing pressure and angle so the surface comes clean and the joints stay packed.
Pool decks get extra care. Runoff has to be controlled so cleaning solution doesn't end up in the water and throw your chemistry off, and coping and tile lines need attention that the broad deck doesn't.
The other reason pool surrounds matter: that shaded, constantly damp concrete grows algae faster than anywhere else on the property, and a wet algae film beside a pool is a real slip hazard, not a cosmetic one.

Not the way we do it. Some loss is normal on any paver cleaning; blowing the joints empty is not, and it's a sign of a wand held too close. If your joints need re-sanding we'll tell you.

Yes — at reduced pressure. Stamped concrete has a coating that high pressure will absolutely take off. It needs a gentler approach and more patience.
